Hummingbird Pin Cushion

Using a single piece of fabric, this pincushion is embellished with beads, buttons, and silk ribbon embroidery to imitate a crazy patched piece. Students will learn spider web roses, beaded feather stitch, fish bone stitch, couched bow, Japanese leaf stitch, Colonial knots, and coral stitch. Pillow top only will be stitched in class

Kit Contents:

Silk dupioni base fabric, silk ribbons, hummingbird bead, beads, buttons, cording, needles, and instructions including color photos. Exact kit contents may vary. Students are encouraged to bring special ribbons, buttons or charms to add a personal touch if they wish. Students will need fiberfill, sewing machine and thread to complete the pillow at home.
